The Governance Committee has published a new statement on the blog, outlining proposals around improving the user experience, stability, and release practices across the project.

We’d appreciate feedback from users and maintainers.

Considering the travel disruption expected for folks travelling to Atlanta, here's an idea that #KubeCon NA could copy from KubeCon EU... Rotate countries in NA every other year! I mean, who doesn't like the sound of KubeCon Cancun?

Loving the thumbnail (randomly?) chosen for this recording from #KCD Edinburgh! "So, which signal should I use?" would've been a great title for this talk too, because that (plus giving logs the love they deserve) is what we tried to cover in less than 25 minutes 😄

Don't take it from mainstream news or any government official, this is a short and clear explanation of the legal situation regarding @freedomflotilla.bsky.social by a Professor of International Law at the Australian National University.
Israel’s interception of the Gaza aid flotilla is a clear violation of international law
Flotilla organisers say the Israeli military boarded their ships in international waters, where they have the right to freedom of navigation.

We all talk about high-quality telemetry, AI-assisted RCA, advanced tooling... but honestly, it's all meaningless without the foundational basis of system (and subsystem) boundaries, ownership, and responsibility.

Visited family last week and saw the tail end of this... 😢 As someone that left Galicia more than 15 years ago and visits often, I've seen the effects of climate change exponentially turn my rainy and green homeland into something unrecognisable at times, bit by bit.

I've just realised I've not shared this over here! A couple of weeks ago I decided to put together some of my thoughts about what we mean by "good" telemetry, how it necessitates #OpenTelemetry and by extension semconv/Weaver, and how it relates to #InstrumentationScore and maturity models.
What does ‘good’ telemetry look like?
Explore why you need good quality observability data to operate systems efficiently, the value of doing so, and how Instrumentation Score can help.
