The latest Witch Hat bug- a Pigeon Horntail! My first fall in field work, I freed one of these gals from a trap (despite being super scared of her... I was really new to bugs lol).
Hat's starting to get a lil heavy but I would love to keep adding moreeee

My relationship with art and my body are finally in a really good place now. I make what I want to make, and I take care of myself instead of sitting like a shrimp all day long poking away.
Just need that final piece of the puzzle- a steady job 😅

Making art & working out a lot while things are Real Weird w/ work. Good time to job hunt (my contract is up next Sept anyway), but it's so overwhelming.
One step at a time I guess -gonna update my resume.
Wish I could go back to art full time, but I can't afford that (financially or physically!)

Opal has decided that, since I don't have work today, she's the boss. She's demanded cuddles before I could finish breakfast, scolded me to stop cleaning, and trapped me in her chair for hours and it's not even 11 am lol
I'm just gonna give her everything she wants today.

Okage! Every copy I had had a scratch that broke the game in the same place and made it unfinishable. Very cute and silly and a little dark with great art. Finally watched a let's play of the whole thing and the ending was really surprising! Great game!
Also Shadow Hearts, but only the first one lol

More progress on my witch hat! Added and attached my female Io moth, and sewed on my Marbled Orbweaver and crochet spiderweb today ♥️

Today was a good day at home catching up with chores, but I also got to work on some art!
-Female Io Moth WIP for my witch hat
-lichen and Barred Owl toes sculpted
-a thank-you doodle for folks who came to my book signing yesterday (Cayden and the nightmares thank u!)

Felted female Io moth in progress. The general wing shapes are wet-felted while the details ( only on the hind wings so far) are needle-felted.

Mixed media juvenile Barred Owls in progress. They are perched on a sweet birch branch sculpted with clay. Slow but steady!

Today is book signing day!!! AHHH
As a fun and silly extra thing, I'm bringing a 5-page comic I drew when I first started this whole story (back in like 2006-2007??) to have on my lil table for people to read if they want to. It's actually part of the book, back when I wanted to draw the whole story
