annoying in every way. 🌈✨
What pisses me off even more about the @gavinnewsom.bsky.social thing is that he destroyed Hannity in that interview they did. Like, if you’re gonna platform MAGAs, you use the opportunity to DESTROY THEIR ARGUMENTS WITH LOGIC AND POLICY KNOWLEDGE. That should be the point of this podcast!!!!

What’s even shittier about the @gavinnewsom.bsky.social thing is that he’s Nats Getty’s fucking GODFATHER. Like, you have a trans godchild, Gavin. What the absolute fuck.

Every day I wish we didn’t live in a country where men are insanely reactive and guns are readily available ✌️

#PopCultureJeopardy cut out the part of @anyacrittenton.bsky.social’s speech where they explicitly cited the need for audiences to see trans people thriving on television.

Disappointed for sure, especially since the producers were constantly saying how much they loved our team for the “diversity”
I wish I could remember what I said exactly, but it was generally about my gratitude being a finalist as a trans nonbinary person in a world that is constantly trying to keep us down, and that seeing trans joy and success is just as important, if not more so, than our struggles.

Hopefully it was clear by mentioning @jeopardamy.bsky.social and @mattearoach.bsky.social, but there was a second part to my exchange with Colin about my green room ritual.

That following and being inspired by the success of my trans sibling meant everything.

Something that was cut from Pop Culture Jeopardy! last night: explicitly shouting out my trans community and how much we deserve joy and success and safety. 1/

the thing about chasing what you think is public opinion is that if and when things turn you will have made a bunch of statements and taken a bunch of stances that you’ll have to disavow. probably a better strategy just to say what you actually believe and stand by it. anyway, this guy sucks.
Gavin Newsom breaks with Democrats on trans athletes in sports

NEW: WIRED got IP blocked by the Social Security Administration, among other outlets covering Musk's takeover.

Federal workers are now "prohibited" from accessing our reporting on "government-furnished equipment."

WaPo, NYT, and MSNBC are likewise banned, sources confirm.
Social Security Workers Aren’t Allowed to Read This Story
New internet restrictions at the embattled SSA have cut off access to WIRED, along with other “general news” websites like The Washington Post and The New York Times.

It would be irrational for the Dems to do things in their own and the party’s self-interest because then things would be fairer and they might have to give up some of their fucking mansions and jets and boats. Oh, my!

I love that it’s always about trans women in women’s sports, but for SOME reason no one gives a fuck about trans men in men’s sports. Obviously it’s misogyny and the idea that a trans man could NEVER beat a cis man, even though it HAS happened.

Truly fuck @gavinnewsom.bsky.social for platforming MAGA maniacs like Charlie Kirk. STOP LETTING THEM TALK. Their points are bigoted, not researched, and not based in FACTS OR SCIENCE. This is a dangerous fucking game to play right now, Governor.

The first measles death in the US in a decade -- the tragic, preventable death of a child whose parents chose not to protect them with vaccination -- should spark an immediate nation-wide campaign to ensure all children are protected against preventable diseases. Anything less is unconscionable.
