I'm just nervous about changing the title because it means I have to go back through the whole book and change a lot of things. It's not necessarily laziness on my part it's anxiety lol. I believe they're definitely giving me the attention I deserve. I'm actually lucky to have this person
After a lot of back and forth with a mentor of mine we decided on keeping the main title but adding a subtitle so it will now be "The Plastic Eater: Unfolding the Continuum"
Thank you so much!! I would appreciate that ❤️
Has anyone here ever changed the title of their book while writing it? I'm sitting with that question for The Plastic Eater and it's harder than I expected. If you’ve been through it, how did you know it was time? Any regrets?

She whispers to lilies born of poison. One blooms and sings. But only Nia hears it. Some miracles are too fragile to survive being believed. #WritingCommunity #microfiction #Blueskywriters #blueskybooks #dystopian #scifi #sciencefiction #fantasyfiction #creativewriting #book #writer
The world of "The Plastic Eater" isn’t far off. It’s a place where the things we once worshiped, convenience, control, consumption, begin to consume us instead.
Coming soon...

They called it salvation.
It ate plastic.
Then it ate everything else.
It doesn't stop.
The Plastic Eater..
You can’t throw away what’s already inside you.

Farewell Ozzy thank you for the music and the memories... The Prince of Darkness will shine forever in our hearts😞
Personally, I have not. This is the first time I'm hearing of the book. But in light of this conversation I will be ordering the book and reading it. My comments and opinions were based solely off the comment thread itself.
Calling people baby murderers is out of line and dehumanizing. Sure, go ahead and criticize policies, but using this sort of language only fuels hate and shuts down meaningful dialogue. Let's aim for accountability without cruelty.
Dehumanizing a state or people as a rabid animal crosses into anti-semitism. Israel's policies can and should be criticized but denying its people's dignity and history or reducing them to Invaders erases nuance and fuels hate, not Justice.
I realized this reply is not for me, however, this comment is rude and dismissive. It weaponizes someone's name and faith, oversimplifies the complex issue, and brings to this an attack rather than dialogue. Frustration is valid, but dehumanizing language helps no one.
I grew up in a Muslim home and deeply respect Judaism. This conflict isn't about either faith... It's about greed and politics not the true values of justice and compassion both religions teach.
Oct 7th was horrific & unjustifiable. But it led many to wrongly equate all Israelis with Zionist & Zionism with Judaism. Zionism is political not faith. Israel's gov't actions often contradict Jewish values of justice & compassion.
By your own logic we shouldn't punish our Palestinians for a few militants, just as we didn't wait for Hitler alone but for the Nazi army, not civilians. Justice isn't collective blame; it's holding combatants accountable. It is Israel's government, and Hamas that should be held accountable.
My family's roots are in the levant, tied to the land long before modern borders are names. Call it Canaan Philistia Juda Palestine... We've been here through all of it... history doesn't erase belonging.
Punishing entire families or communities for one person's actions isn't just and breeds more harm. Justice means accountability for individuals not collective suffering. That principle protects everyone, including you and yours.
The innocent shouldn't suffer for the action of others. That's exactly why collective punishment is considered unjust and even a war crime under international law. Just this means holding individuals accountable, not punishing families children or communities for what one person or group does.
The situation is much more complex than that and responsibility for peace lies with all parties involved not just the people trapped in Gaza. 2/2
Actually, Palestine historically includes both the West Bank and Gaza, not just gaza. it's not realistic or fair to expect civilians in Gaza who are already suffering to go door to door against an armed group while under constant bombardment. 1/2
