I honestly think that @jackgyarwood.bsky.social has done some of the best stuff we've ever had on @timeextension.com this year, and this is another absolute cracker of an interview

Just remember, Trump is unloved & despised by all around him. He destroys everything he touches whereas Rob Reiner made the world an easier place to deal with because of the joy his films gave us.
He believed in people respecting & helping each other.
Trump knows that and hates it.
Fuck him.

@allantadams.bsky.social Hello! I adore your illustrations, and York is one of my favourite places. I was wondering if you accept commissions?

I knew things had turned to shit at @videogamercom.bsky.social, but it seems they're now using AI writers to pump out casino stuff and pretending they're real people (none of these names bring up any related social posts online)

This is just a wild idea I had, but how about not giving a single, solitary shit about what people on TikTok say?

The only people I've seen in favour of pointless AI shit are some of the most violently unappealing characters you'd ever want to meet

Given that most sane individuals recoil in disgust when AI is mentioned, when does it end? Parallels with the ill-fated "metaverse" concept grow stronger by the day
My walkman(!!!) interrupted music playback this morning to tell me it has Gemini now and it's been bothering me all day. I've never been so deeply betrayed by someone so close.

Look, I'm not saying "the other place" can be saved, but if you don't at least pop your head around the door occasionally, this is the kind of top-drawer hilarity you're missing out on

38. That's no age. His passion for retro games shone through in his work. He will be missed.
This is absolutely heartbreaking news.

our incredible features editor, sadly passed away yesterday. He was an incredible asset to the magazine and a compassionate and fantastic friend. My thoughts go out to his friends and family.
I just can’t believe he’s gone

I'd rather violently rub my nutsack against a cheese grater then sit in a bath of vinegar, but thanks all the same

It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick.

Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

If AI is something everyone wants, why is Google having to post stuff like this?
