Last night I headed over to Manchester again to the final Crime Central event of the year. This is the second one I've been to, and can highly recommend it as a night out if you love crime fiction! For this edition, Rob Parker was chatting with Caroline England and Kate Gray about their books, their writing processes and tons of other stuff. Caroline's latest book is Behind Her Smile, which sounded slightly terrifying! Buried secrets are dangerous. Unearthing them might be deadly...   Laurie Dunn has returned to her childhood attic bedroom and her old nightmares have come rushing back.

Also picked up the signed indie bookshop edition of @vaseemkhanuk.bsky.social's fabulous Quantum of Menace from @bforbutterflybooks.bsky.social . Q is out of MI6, but has his own mystery to solve. A must for any #JamesBond fan!

Ordered an in-stock book from well-known indie bookshop. No sign of it after a week. Chased it up, told it was in the queue for dispatch. Chased it again yesterday (2 wks later), told they'd given my order to packaging, order went out today. Wouldn't mind but it was in stock!

Can recommend, really enjoyed The Other People
Hi all. My lovely new book, THE OTHER PEOPLE, is out now in paperback. The Times called it one of their Crime Novels of the Year and obviously I agree. If you'd like to read it, please do. I think you'd enjoy it. Sorry, but I may be banging on about this for a while.
