She had many more severe health issues than I do, but I still saw so much of myself in her. Plus sized, chronically ill, chronic pain, severe anxiety. Good things, too. Childlike wonder, easily laugh, friendly.

My health has been getting worse recently, too. Not deadly (I hope), but I'm so scared.

TW: death of a friend

I turn 26 in a little over a month and I'm terrified. One of my close friends turned 26 this year. On her birthday she went into a coma. About a week later she was dead.

I can't go out and adopt a cat. My spouse gets headaches from a lot of cats, and we're living with my in-laws right now.
But if I'm *chosen*, then we simply cannot refuse to take the cat in, right?
