This week, two members of the #DadanArchaeologicalProject, Mohammed Hamzi and the mission’s co-director, Dr. Jérôme Rohmer, were honored to be invited to the Zhengzhou–AlUla Archaeology Seminar 2025 in China.

As the Dadan Archaeological Project team, we’re pleased to see al-ʿUlā represented in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory. The game includes views of ancient Dadan, notably the Lion Tombs.

For the 2024–2025 cycle, we are pleased to highlight three colleagues whose work advances research on north-western Arabia within the Jaussen & Savignac Programme.

Members of the Dadan Archaeological Project presented new archaeozoological results at a workshop, focusing on an urban quarter at Dadan. The dataset spans ca. 2,500 years of occupation, from the Middle Bronze Age to the 3rd century CE.
