Royalties are payments that recognise a creators contribution long after the work leaves the studio - whether it’s a painting changing hands at auction, an illustration being published in a book, or a photograph reproduced in a magazine.

Our Payback service distributes money to artists, creators and their beneficiaries for certain reuses of their work. It's a type of Collective Licensing that covers secondary uses, like photocopying, scanning and cable retransmission - all of which are difficult to track individually.
