reading a book about china. apparently the government there has sent federal forces into cities, taken shares of major private enterprises, slapped tariffs on industries, and pressured media outlets to fire people they politically disagreed with. didn’t know this.

We saw hints of this in another SW show. I think it was Mandalorian? The New Republic is doing the opposite of literally everything the Empire did, even the things common/necessary to all gov's. No wonder they were totally dysfunctional by the time of TFA.

Hey guys- White nationalists have helped a white woman in Minnesota raise $300k after she was filmed calling a five-year-old Black child the n-word.

The local NAACP chapter is fundraising for the boy and his family to get legal help. The least we could do is out-fundraise the nazis.

@devincf.bsky.social — not what you want to hear, but 90% of your weight loss wins will come from diet. Caloric deficit is what drives fat loss. Exercise expends calories, but not as much as cutting way back on bread and pasta.
