Best of luck to the #WomensHockey players Down Under. Hope those rinks are well insulated. #AWIHL

Thank god for the 2nd Amendment. Am I right? How would we survive the monkeys without everyone being armed?
And yet somehow, Leo Major never received a Victoria Cross, just because he was French and kind of a dick about it.

"Beaver ponds aren’t just surface puddles. When beavers build a dam, water spreads out and slowly sinks into the ground. This added water can recharge underground layers of soil and rock that hold water, known as aquifers."
Super cute pic! 🦫🏞️🪵 #Beavers #UndergroundWater #Environment #Nature
Beavers are silently transforming the hidden water underground
Beaver ponds don’t just shape the surface - they also change groundwater flow, drought resilience, and water quality underground.

Turning into an Arizona are arena situation. I really hope the LeBreton arena actually gets built and the Chargers are able to share it. That’s definitely the optimal path forward

The Hockey Sweater is one of the most famous books in Canadian history.
The story of a boy who received the wrong hockey sweater from Eatons has been featured on our currency and turned into an iconic NFB short.
This is the story of that book.

On this day in 1959, a slapshot by Andy Bathgate broke Jacques Plante's nose. When Plante returned to the game, he was wearing a mask. Plante then went on an 18 game winning streak and the mask was here to stay.
Clint Benedict was the first NHL goalie to wear a mask back in 1930.
This is the case for pretty much everything. Bosses have taken credit for their employee’s work since the beginning of time. Pharaohs did build the pyramids, Edison did not invent the lightbulb, and Elon Musk didn’t invent the electric car. Of course, it was some random dude who found it.
I’m sure he found some good shit travelling through Afghanistan and India
The Parade is on HOLD
Are the #BlueJays going to do the most #Toronto thing possible and choke in #Game7 of the #WorldSeries?

On this day in 1887, Newsy Lalonde was born in Cornwall, Ontario.
A member of both the Hockey and Lacrosse Hall of Fames, he led the Montreal Canadiens to their first Stanley Cup in 1916. In 207 NHL/NHA games, he had 288 goals and 350 points. He died in 1970.
The searchers all say, they’d have made Whitefish Bay, if they’d put 15 more eels behind her
I remember the once a year I was forced to use Skype, because the other person didn’t have FaceTime or something. I never used it willingly.

Parents, PLEASE check your kids’ Halloween candy this year. I just found atoms in this candy bar that were formed during BIG BANG NUCLEOSYNTHESIS, and many more that were the result of earlier generations of stars exploding as POWERFUL SUPERNOVA. Parents need to know about this dangerous trend!!

Anne Murray sang the national anthem at the Blue Jays first-ever home game in 1977, at the first game at the Skydome in 1989, and in Game 3 of the 1992 World Series.
Give this Canadian treasure a ticket to Game 6!
