Imagine that instead of having a child and raising it, you tell a computer you want a child and it gives you a human already fully formed. "Your new son is Joe Blank. He is a 25-year old contractor in Kenosha, WI and he's 30,000 in debt from sports betting."
I have grown to believe that excessive wealth does something to your brain that is analogous to a serious head injury

Cultural-social events are crucial for building a mass socialist left. One lost example of this: Milwaukee's sewer socialists in 1925 organized a children's orchestra competition on a Friday evening at Lake Park, attended by 5,000 parents and community members

3⃣0⃣ days on strike - this is officially the longest national ULP strike in Starbucks' history.

Listen to our striking baristas in Austin, TX: Don't cross our picket line! Stop buying Starbucks. #NoContractNoCoffee

Got this due to a bookstore recommendation and everyone is intrigued by it. It starts off asking if Thomas Kincade and Grandma Moses are fighting on the astral plan. We also found a good MTG card on the street and a place serving alcoholic Baja Blast. Great evening.

Watched Gerwig's Little Women with friends at an Alamo and we had dinner during the movie. We were crying excessively and ran out of clean napkins and started using the buffalo wings-stained napkins out of desperation.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I need to read a monograph about pokemon naming conventions in translation. Why do some languages make unique names and some do not? Does it have to do with the anime being subbed v dubbed? Is it economics? Was it a decision of the very first translators?

in 2025, I made myself proud and that’s really all I can ask for. but what I can ask from YOU is to create a neighborhood newsletter, print it out, and put it in a central location so you can meet more of your neighbors!!!!

I am literally playing Pokemon Go right now.
Quote this with what you would have said your game of the year was at the end of 2016, and what you would say your favourite game of 2016 is now, if it differs

Hey! It's Tuesday, and I'm cold and grumpy. If you're also cold and grumpy, here's a cool tablet-weaving resource for you. It tells you how to get started WITHOUT a loom, gives a link to information on how you read the charts, and there's a free project for shoelaces. #tabletweaving #inkle
Give it a try! Easy tablet weaving with this free shoelace project
No tablet weaving experience or equipment? No problem! Weave yourself a pair of shoelaces with this beginner-friendly free project.

Glad that Allred dropped out so that we can have a non-transphobic candidate.
James Talarico: The only minority destroying America is the billionaires.

Trans people aren't taking away our healthcare.

Muslims aren't defunding our schools.

Immigrants aren't cutting taxes for themselves and their rich friends.

We are focused on the wrong 1%.

I need to win the lottery so I can sit around and draw comics. There are probably five people on Tumblr who are missing out on the gag comics about 1800s British naval tragedies that only I can provide.
