And this, quite frankly, is why I ultimately chose NOT to go to an in-person No Kings protest on Saturday, because I am a 5' 2" disabled woman, and if some jerkoff pretending to be a cop starts throwing me around, they could kill me, and I have too much I still want to accomplish to allow that.

I've long since lost count of how many hundreds of thousands of innocent souls have died/ will die because of the twice-impeached criminally seditious traitor and 34-time CONVICTED FELON SOCIOPATH and his evil minions.

I'm guessing you're referring to St. Petersburg, Russia, not Florida, as I sailed for years in St. Petersburg, Florida, and it is (usually) anything but melancholic.

Great bunch of sailors overall.

I miss the St. Petersburg Sailing Association and the annual Morgan Invasion.

I'm more into single malt Scotch, although MacNaughton blended Scotch is outstanding, but I've yet to meet a real sailor who's a complete teetotaler.

I still vote Democratic almost without exception.

I have voted for a few Republicans in the past, but I'm inclined to believe I'll never do so again, since the party has become a Clear and Present Danger and an Enemy of the State.

Frankly, that's ALL political parties.

Hence why I'm independent.

I vote liberal, but the DNC lost me decades ago, and I'm too moral and ethical to be a Republican.

I'd love to see all parties abolished, but I have no idea as to what a solution would look like.

Abolish the Electoral College.

As one old enough to remember my parents' and grandparents' conversations about fascism as it was taking over Europe, and having met literally dozens of Holocaust survivors in my teens and twenties, I thank and commend you for researching and teaching the accurate history, which is SO needed today.
