The Republicans in the US are now talking about repealing the First Amendment, which enshrines the right to free speech, protest and freedom of the press. There is little doubt the L/NP would like to see this in Australia as well, based on their love of Trumpism.

A paltry 5,000 people showed up at the Sydney "March Against Immigration", out of a population of 5.56 million. That's less than 1%. Many people left when they realised how pathetic it was.

Indonesia, Azerbaijan and Pakistan are the first countries that could contribute troops to the Stabilisation Force in Gaza (with Indonesia offering 20,000 troops), along with Egypt, Qatar & the UAE. The US will send 200 troops to Israel to "coordinate" things.

The LNP are now using the same rhetoric as Donald Trump: claiming that crime is out of control in certain cities. If they are elected, there is little doubt we would see the military deployed to these cities.

OK, everybody, you can stop bagging Trump: he just stated that all he cares about is saving lives. In fact, he cares so much that he is going to blow up more Venezuelan fishing boats, make more immigrants disappear and start as many wars as he can.

When I was in Guangzhou in 2003, the Australian Consulate had a bar. A lot of the Consuls from other countries used to meet there on Friday nights, and any Australian citizens that wanted to attend. They had Fosters and VB. This should be a requirement for all Australian missions around the world.

Israel are already breaching the agreement by halving the flow of aid into Gaza and refusing to open the crucial Rafah border crossing with Egypt, accusing Hamas of withholding the bodies of Israeli hostages. The international forces need to move in quickly and get the Israeli troops out of Gaza.

Trump invited Netanyahu to the Gaza summit in Egypt, without consulting anybody. The Arab leaders said they didn't want Netanyahu there, and he had to turn his plane around mid flight and return to Israel. It appears Trump and Netanyahu are increasingly being excluded.

If the war in Gaza is indeed over, Netanyahu can longer use it as an excuse to indefinitely delay his criminal trial for corruption and bribery in Israel. The only way he can delay it longer, and stay out of gaol, is by starting another war.
