Do rooms have coffee machines? That is a rule-of-thumb for picking hotels for work travel, probably any travel. When the answer is no, the rest of the hotel experience is more likely to be a let down. (Germany is an exception. They seem to be really into tea.)

Yes. I'm just wondering, in retrospect, if things were so dramatic and what those things are. I remember everyone saying enterprises needed to culture change and mind shift, but I don't think I ever went back and checked 5 to 10 years later if anything actually happened.

Tomorrow I'll be talking about playing D&D to figure out if all this agentic AI stuff is bullshit or not. Er, that's a bit cynical in framing. How about "how can I understand enterprise agentic AI by playing D&D" for the rainbows and sunshine crowd? aifortherestofus.live/london-2025

You know, maybe what I'm looking for is a rephrasing of "you must change the culture/mindset/org" to "when you get a new technology, make sure you use it."

Maybe the UK GDS? That seemed like a big culture change premised on good web apps and a more “agile” mindset, helped by PaaS and “cloud.”

I am trying to think of instances where organizations did go through big culture changes associated with a new technology and it did have a bit impact. I’m no scientist, but you would need a control group where they did not introduce a new technology and just changed how they worked.

What are examples of the “to get the benefits of this new technology, you have to make massive culture/mindset changes”? This is scoped to “enterprises.” That claim is made about most new technologies, currently AI, and it usually makes me devalue the technology.

Also, don't build your own PaaS, that doesn't work out. Have you seen what top thought-leaders are saying now about Kubernetes. Boy, what a fun distraction that was! trytanzu.ai

Ah, hello, fellow marketers. I know you're wondering, does this OpenAI video shit mean I can stop doing those dumb-ass short videos to hustle up CTAs and quarterly charts on slides that number go up? Yes, absolutely. I just finished my FY3000Q4 OKRs with this KPI'ing masterpiece.

If you're not one of my fellow marketers, you're not allowed to look at this thread. There's plenty of videos of Abe Lincoln serving Sam Altman a sando for you to peep.
