90% of the year I'd tell you winter is my favourite season, but every October I remember fall colours and Halloween decorations and that everpresent aroma of damp fallen leaves and moss.... yeah this is absolutely the best time of year, I have to accept it

Huge pet peeve: when a music video for a song is very blatantly a bunch of other performances cut together, and the people's movements on their instruments don't line up at all with what you hear, and the singer's lips are clearly singing different words from the audio

Youtube update is cool. I like the feature where they only give you three recommended videos at the end instead of 9, and they're placed awkwardly with a big empty space above them, and yet they somehow didn't have space to have them not overlap the timeline bar so you can't go back after finishing

I feel like a medieval peasant sent back to the stone age, I can so clearly see all the technology that should be, but I'm incapable of actually building it and I can't grasp why these other cavemen don't just put rocks in their fires to make metal tools

Picture: a large coffin, but with ventilation, an air conditioner, and instead of a mattress it's a material like a trampoline so it doesn't trap heat, some padding on top, a bunch of small pillows, and a blanket. Then you don't waste energy cooling an entire room in the summer, just yourself

The speed of sound at sea level is somewhere around 350m/s, and 350*3.3 is close to 1000, so the speed of sound is roughly 1000 feet in a second or 1000 kilometres in an hour
Again, not exact, but good enough for estimation

one hour is 3600 seconds
a kilometre in an hour is 3.3 thousand feet in 3.6 thousand seconds
cancel the thousands and a kilometre per hour is roughly a foot per second within a reasonable margin of error

Following this reasoning I sincerely believe every movie and TV series should release with two versions; one normal one, and one in which all but like 3 of the actors are replaced with monkeys and the monkeys just jump around and scream and the humans understand them and act like it's normal
