the reality is, I remain on Twitter for Gaza. It is the best place for direct news/updates from Palestinians by a country mile, unlike here, where they are all but absent and repeatedly censored and banned.

I’m really curious about the root of the tedious/boring voice that is dominant in Aus writing, and the way certain publishers and publications make you bend towards it. Is the origin postgrad studies? Creative writing courses? Private schools? A national love of mediocrity and midwittery? Weigh in!

I’d say most “normies” don’t read Australian journals because they’re all dull, sometimes in unique ways. Why is that? Can they ever be cool or fun? Every example I’ve seen that says ‘yes’ Is an exception to the rule, it seems.
