In the last few years I’ve frequently seen people ask why these companies don’t simply make profit off selling good products like they did in the old days and the sad truth is there is so much money flowing in equity now that it is potentially more lucrative for these companies to bet on gains.

I think shows like Hazbin or JJBA give a lot of credit to the idea of a creator vomiting their id all over the screen/page and it being a success due to how genuine it feels.

Dude. Yes. Alito and Thomas are of course the standout examples, but all of the Republican justices have tells in their writing and their questioning indicating that they are, to varying degrees, marinating their brains in dumb bitch juice
My theory, fwiw, is that Supreme Court Justices are not immune to Twitter brain poisoning. I suspect all six have horrific information environments and have therefore lost the ability to understand the people who don't agree with them.

I don’t think any other animation school treats its student film releases like a major event more than Gobelins. They have a whole marketing arm for them. Each film has their own social media accounts. There’s even merchandise.
The 2025 graduation shorts from french Gobelins animation school are coming.

The biggest tragedy to happen to movies in the past decade was the hollowing out of the indies. For all the “democratization” that cheap digital cameras and laptop post production teased, it largely didn’t happen. The young chased lower effort YouTube content. Movies stayed needlessly expensive.

As much as I hope there are consequences for this, Japanese entertainment companies seem as equally enamored with AI. AI is even friendlier to copyright law over there than it is here.
