The GF bought ingredients for a pie and has communicated to me about a desire for pie. I have the goal of making a key-lime pie this week. The surprising thing is she bought Stroopwaffle crumb for the pie crust. We don't have any whipped cream, but I could make that. Not sure about toppings.

I just haven't had the spoons or mental energy to do any hobby or craft stuff for painting lately. I feel like my backlog is just growing. But I also feel, if I don't have 4-6 hours to invest and solidly focus on painting. I just can't do it. I feel like 30min at a time isn't sufficient.

So recently I've been watching a pretty damn good food related YouTube channel. Called Sorted Food. It's been entertaining to watch. My lovely GF suggested we give their app a shot. We've been using it with some great success.

Made some Chicken Parmesan, did some nice ramen as well recently. I need to do some hobbying. I've got a multitude of goblins and other figures that need assembling and painting.

I made pasta last night. It was.. quite simply an unmitigated disaster. The only thing with any redeeming value was the new sauce. But even then, it needs a little practice. At best, being charitable, it needs practice. At worst, my pasta was... Horrendous. A production, a chaotic mess.

I made a cake. Peanut butter, with peanut butter frosting and peanut butter ganache. I'm not a very good baker and cake decorating is not my forte. But it turned out delicious!

I did some assembly yesterday. It was a PITA. This I would have preferred to do as a sub-assembly. But it's too impractical. There is so much detail I won't be able to paint. There's a Stargrave game planned, this will be my apocalyptic crew.

I did some fried rice yesterday. I give it a barely passing grade. But tasted okay. This might require more science.

Gonna make some lap xuong sausage. Or at least once I have a good recipe. Been googling and doing some searching. Picked up some casings. It's been a while this should be fun.

I just got gifted a Shitake mushroom kit! In addition to doing a ton of pickles. It looks like I'll be growing some mushrooms. In addition to the other fun culinary adventures currently in progress, I have a plethora of Gloomspite Gitz to glue together and prime and paint. So stay tuned!

Did a lot of water bath canning yesterday. Gonna do more today. I'm hopeful. But I am curious how it may impact the freshness and crunch.

Did a cooking experiment. What with the new fancy Oven, I'm still getting used to some of its features. One thing that is going to get a lot of use. Is the dehydration mode. These are stir fry strips marinated overnight in yoshidas. Never will I pay $15 for 2oz ever again.

I have a literal pile of trolls to paint for AOS. 13 in total, to be precise. I hope to prime them today, potentially taking advantage of the sunny weather. I've got some git mob wolves and Trugg and then my list is complete.

Finished my kimchi. And some extra paste to use on stir fry, etc. Honestly I should've bought more napa cabbage. After I salt the cabbage, maybe I can do up a second batch with the already prepared paste/sauce.

Finished my kimchi. And some extra paste to use on stir fry, etc. Honestly I should've bought more napa cabbage. After I salt the cabbage, maybe I can do up a second batch with the already prepared paste/sauce.

I might have made the mistake of using gochujang paste. Not chili flake. So my onion, garlic and ginger paste, resembles pasta sauce. I'll be making some kimchi here soon once it finishes cooking off a little bit more.

Made more pickles and some jalapenos as well. I've adjusted my formulation to have a different salt. Hoping to reduce the salinity just a smidge. The new salt I'm using has a touch more than I'd like. But I'm enjoying this harvest season. I want to make nachos!

GF said making tomatillo salsa was a good idea. Who am I to disagree? Not sure what to go with it... Maybe just girl dinner, I dunno. Turned out pretty damn good.

Did up 14 jars of pickles. Dropped them off to the flgs. Primed up a figure for my goblins. Replaced the gas struts for my hatchback. Might make some tomatillo salsa. Bought some ears of corn, so might make elote. Need to apply zenithal prime job on my goblin king.

Been busy a little as of late. I've made some prices on my goblin shaman I've been painting up. I should take a picture of it. Been looking for some recipes lately as well. Considering something.. nice. Maybe a cake or loaf of bread. Or maybe Indian or Chinese?
