To my followers, sorry if I have been more political lately. The sovereignty and economic health of my country is under attack by my country's former best friend, and as much as I want to limit myself to posting just the fun stuff, this is the reality and being correctly informed is better.

This week, I have realised that not everything needs to be efficient.

But, I have also realised that time is running out. Always. I cannot always have 100% of the data I need to make a decision. Sometimes I just have to make one.

C'est la vie, I guess.
But there are also regrets about not doing something.

What if doing this makes me better?
What if I change my trajectory and be in a better place?

Maybe I need to pull myself harder so that the arrow flies further away.
Like, if I didn't leave the ER to get food, would my grandma still be alive? If I didn't move to Ontario, would I have met the friends I have now? If I didn't... where would I be?
Sometimes I think about the what ifs of life. What if I didn't move to Canada with my mum. Would I be in Singapore or Taiwan? Maybe stay in Manila for a bit? or would I have eventually found a job in Europe?
What would my life be like if I didn't proceed with those decisions.
Toutes les questions.
The paradox of life is living it. While we want to cherish every moment, the moments that we do cherish seems to always fly by. All that's left is nostalgia; histoire.

Instead of trying to green cars so much why don't we just invest in trains. city trains. under ground trains. above ground trains. trains between cities. trains between countries. TRAINS

THE PEOPLE CRAVE TRAINS
At the same time, the Liberals shouldnt take the downfall of Cons for granted and they need to continue working hard, and the Greens should keep trying to expand outside of the Island and Kitchener.

Just some thoughts lol
I love this haha partying but respecting others' lives (and the law)
THIS is how a good city parties πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³
At Yonge & Dundas Jays fans are obeying the pedestrian scramble, as is the custom & returning to sidewalk each light cycle.
Seriously. With huge internet outages like this, you can really see which companies are reliant on just a single cloud provider.

We need to be multi-cloud or hybrid. Apart from data sovereignty, we need to build infrastructure that is HERE in Canada and is as diverse and resilient as Canadians.
Thanks for the link! Im still hoping to see a local/Canadian store that have already done the importing for me. Because I would assume it is cheaper to ship in bulk (them) vs retail (me) lol. The cheapest shipping is almost double 😭
Anyone from Toronto know where I can buy Egils Appelsin from Iceland?
If the tax refund is $0, it can be like, hey, you win! You were very strategic, and have contributed nothing to our society (money-wise), AND you are still benefitting from our public systems!

Of course I want it both federal and provincial/territorial.

Just some rough ideas/wish list here!
Similarly, if you have a tax refund, they can still give you a report, highlighting the benefits you are receiving from the public, sort of like a discount or rebate:
Example: If I received $1,000 in tax refund:
You saved:
-$100 on healthcare
-$200 on infrastructure
-$200 on defence

etc etc
I would also like to have a better understanding of where my taxes go. like a tax breakdown report.

Example: If I paid $2,000 in federal taxes:
+$250 goes to provincial health care
+$400 goes to infrastructure
+$400 goes to defence
+$300 goes to trade
+$650 goes to private corporations
etc.
Form can be as easy as:
- How much pharmacy/dental expenses did you pay this year?
- From your $____.__ RRSP contributions this year, how much do you want to use to lower your taxable income?
- How many days did you work remotely (for remote worker expenses)

As simple as that.
Automatic tax filing!!! FINALLY!!!
I hope they expand it more, not just to low-income. Just like in the Philippines: If you don't have a business, everything is automatic for you. I think the difference in Canada are the benefits we get - which I hope would be an easier, wizard-type form instead.

You've got to be kidding...

Multiple vehicles assigned to Ontario cabinet ministers have been slapped with over $3,300 in speeding-related fines -- many of them caught on automated speed cameras. Average: 17 km/h over the limit.

This is all @isaaccallan.bsky.social & his FOI skills.
