Just saw #TheLongWalk.

Incredible, until the very disappointing end. Great writing and acting though, and relevant to today’s nationalism, and glorification of war and violence.

A ★★★★ review of The Long Walk (2025)
“I keep hoping that part gets easier…”  “That’s what I’m afraid of.” Amazing film… until the very disappointing end.

Just used a zucchini spiralizer for the first time, and I am in awe. My wrists are not. But I am.
Anyway I should probably buy some stickers 🤷
It yearns for self expression, for creativity, for the pride of representing its community, its ideologies, its favourite brands.
It desires stickers that will grant it the status of “normal,” yet also make it stand out as “tastefully unique.”
I can tell by the way it looks at my sticker-clad laptop.
It wants stickers.
Though deep down, it knows that’s not true.
But maybe it just thinks it’s sophisticated. I’m sure that’s what it tells itself, at least, in times of insecurity.
I feel bad leaving it bare.
And we all know what it’s like when others insult what you’re wearing. (not good)
Sometimes it gets bullied.
This makes me sad, because I’m sure *it’s* sad.
My water bottle has no stickers.

The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

Today’s priorities:
1. Build a giant camera
2. Work
Reading is resistance. I like that.
Currently reading Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, what about you?

If you want to push back against tech's encroachment into every corner of our lives, you have to read books. They're eager to create a future in which most people are illiterate and hooked on slop, a world without imagination or knowledge. Reading is resistance.
Ask me a yes/no question, and I will say much more than yes or no.

Ask me for my thoughts, and I will not be able to find them.

2/2
Ask me something specific, and I will give you a meandering, passionate answer.

Ask me something broad and open-ended, and my brain goes blank.

CP Newswatch, supposedly “the latest and most important news of the day”

1. Major ceasefire broken by Israel
2. Important baseball game coming up

The feeling I’ve been having that I didn’t know how to put into words (until now):
I'll never forgive generative a.i

Having to ask "is this real?" so often has really done a number on me

I miss being able to trust art.
