Can't wait for a Plinkett-style review of Squid Game Season 3, regarding how S1 to S3 might be the biggest drop-off in writing quality in the history of television. Holy fuck, what capital-d Dogshit writing. Not even "Cody hates everything" hyperbole here. Like, legitimately embarassing stuff.

The Farmies: Bains and Karlsson tally four points each in Canucks’ 6-1 rout of Checkers in Game 3
All it took was a hit from behind for the Abbotsford Canucks to rattle off five straight goals against one of the most dominant AHL teams of the 2024-25 Calder Cup Playoffs. There was legitimate reason to be concerned heading into Abbotsford’s first of a three-game home set against the Charlotte Checkers. Yes, the…

Kirill Kudryavtsev MIGHT be *that* guy in Abbotsford right now.
At 5v5, the Abbotsford #Canucks are up 12-2 in goals in his minutes! When the game is TIED, the Farm is up 7-2! Trailing by 1+ they're up 3-0!
Might be more noise than signal because "AHL do be like dat."
still! Promising trajectory

The Canucks have (and will) always try to make a cheap buck. Selling 30 year old chairs, Ovechkin jerseys (???), cringe "team like that" merch (copying Canes' bunch of jerks meme-merch), fucking *used* player shoes, or turning every tangentially-related Canucks thing into a 50/50 raffle

As far as we can tell, Brandon Astle was hit with a chair by a fan…by no one will talk about it

A fundamentally historic victory for the farm team Friday night as they punch thru to the Pacific Division Finals for the first time ever.

The Farmies: Arturs Silovs sends Abbotsford Canucks through to third round of Calder Playoffs with series-winning shutout
For the first time in franchise history, the Abbotsford Canucks are moving on to the Pacific Division Finals. It wasn’t pretty, but the banged-up Farm team got the job done. “It’s the playoffs. They’re all day-to-day,” said Abbotsford Canucks Head Coach Manny Maholtra ahead of their Game Four matchup with the Coachella Valley Firebirds. On Friday night,…

Refs got in the way, so significantly in that third period. Singlehandedly disrupted possession for the Sens twice by getting in the way. Once in the dzone, leading to a glorious chance for Toronto, and the second in the final minute, hurting Sens' ability to move puck along the boards.

Why would any NHL coach want their reputation attached to next season's results and how it will determine whether or not Hughes re-signs in Van? Tocchet's a smart guy, he knows this team is fucked with EP40-Chytil-???-??? down the middle and zero elite wingers. Getting out while he can is smart

You know what? Good for Tocchet. That's exactly what this organization deserves. When you treat as many people/players/STHs as poorly as the Canucks org have over the last decade, you absolutely deserve the one guy you went above and beyond for rug pulling you to say, "nah, cya!"

If you can't even win your riding, your party should be a DNF in the polls. The party picked you to win. And you couldn't even convince your riding, ipso fatso, you receive a DNF and your party doesn't get any seats at the table

The #Canucks (through leaks to national media) LOATHED Pettersson leaning on his wrist injury last playoffs; even tasked Hughes and Miller with "toughening him up." A brilliant idea in hindsight (/s)

White Lotus finale was ok
Nothing remarkable. Kinda dull. Not predictable per se, but you really knew where everything was heading mid way through the season.
Mad my "the monkeys get a hold of the gun" theory didn't come true.

He would have an 6-point lead on the second-highest scoring player on the #Canucks (Boeser)
What an indictment on everyone on both teams, except Hughes lol

Out of cheapness, I began slowly deleting my Twitter timeline piece by piece in my spare time starting a couple Fridays ago, instead of using a paid auto-delete service.
That cheapness disappeared when I got to January 2021, where I became the Canucks game clip guy. Upwards of 35 tweets/game. Woof.

This run definitely feels wayyyy less fake than the typical #Canucks futile playoff push that sewered many a-draft positions over the past decade. Lotta dawg in this push being shown by the team's depth and d-core

Since the trade deadline, #Canucks center Elias Pettersson is tied for fourth in the NHL with 10 points in 8 games. He has also thrown 16 hits, while his 14 blocked shots are the most by any forward since March 7. EP40 is stepping up at both ends of the ice.

At what point does Global Affairs Canada issue a travel warning to Canadians heading to the US?
