A bunch of people pointed out 20 years ago the entire ethos of the Republican Party is “LOL own the libs” and people who dedicated their life to understanding politics didn’t like that the answer was that simple and created a new reality to justify the fact that the GOP is just a bad chat room.

The president keeps talking about his concern he’s not getting to heaven, has weird health things going on, keeps confusing AI videos for reality even if he’s in them… posts ai garbage of him being a dictator. And never seems to know what’s going on but I guess it’s not important to investigate.

The same reporters and networks endlessly lecture anyone left of center for not being inclusive of republican ideas meanwhile the president routinely is like “I’ll kill anyone who disagrees with me and dump shit on anyone who dislikes me I hate them” and it’s never even mentioned!

Nobody even covers it anymore! Major news networks just completely ignore doing stories about the President of the United States making AI-generated videos of him dumping shit on people! That's a really fucking weird thing for a president to be doing!!

I agree with whoever said a rather under-appreciated dynamic is the extent to which Professional Politics Opinion Havers flat out just find the left interpersonally irritating in a way they do not find the right so, and I think a lot of the talk of a vibe shift was wish-casting their irritants away.

And I think more journalist and reporters and pundits in our country should explain why they think millions of people’s voices are worth less than the voices of 5-10 republican voters they constantly interview. Or explain what they believe would be a legitimate resistance to the administration

In any other country the extremely unpopular aging president being protested in mass in all parts of the country would be covered as a ground breaking revolt against the administration. But because it doesn’t occur in 4chan messaging boards and at DC cocktail hours it’s not legitimate.

one more rant. A bunch of elite status boomers got together and called themselves the “tea party” and got cemented as a permanent force for change. Millions of people turn up every month to protest and the media goes “eh fuck them they are disorganized and we don’t understand their motives”

The final rant is the president is extremely in popular but every newspapers front page looks like an ode to the great leader and I think that is extremely stupid and pathetic and it’s not carried out by just republicans and partisans but average people unable to address or see their own bias.

Like at some point the fault has to rest on our cultures inability to simply state the things that are true and false and our inability to state our vision and belief systems because we are constantly told from a young age to validate every single opinion no matter how stupid or worthless.

The government is shut down because the GOP refuses to simply extend tax cuts that would make everyone in the country pay less for insurance and the only reason they give is “we don’t want to liberals are woke and lame and we hate them” and it’s covered as some logical policy conclusion.

I do have an entire play by play of a random corrupt house representative being pardoned, a lot of long rambling pieces about trump prosecuting his enemies. And tons of congratulatory pieces about a ceasefire deal that seemed to collapse the very day it was issued.

The government has been shut down for 3 weeks and basically no one I talked to had any idea of why or how it ends. This isn’t because “politics is hard to understand and americas are busy” it’s because major news outlets can’t tell the truth without being “mean” to conservatives.

Like I would love to blame it on a bunch of of other things, but those other things exist everywhere else in the world. The thing that is unique to us is our political media and journalism’s instance on “being fair and balanced” at the expense of telling truth. And one parties realization of that.
