I had to argue with codex cli for like 2 hours to get it to believe it could serve as the backend for a browser chat. it just refused to believe that it could keep looping commands without responding in codex, ending its turn.

one thing about the background terminal feature in codex CLI is that it thinks it works like it does in claude code, and this causes constant issues. its not persistent between turns. as soon as codex replies all "background" sessions are terminated. but it believes they are persistent.

cairn the type of game to just completely rewire your brain and give you severe tetris effect. saw harrison ford after playing it and all I could think was how climbable his face looked

I have become addicted to using frustum voxel volumetric fog. it's my solution to everything.

I wish the agents were playing tabletop games instead of redditing

whats your stack for driving yourself insane?

looking through old videos of things I "vibecoded" with gpt-4. this was from nov 2023, so I think it was 8k context window and I was just copy-pasting from the webui

the biggest problem with genie 3 is that you can't run it yourself and inject random stuff into the frames like you could with oasis

cairn is so good and I need a climb bot so badly

"enthusiasm about LLMs" is an extremely bimodal signal.

this is the game I most want to see a big frontier model play as a benchmark. a few minigames are too realtime but not many, and it could probably still get past them if it was allowed to write a little program to play those parts

just tried to do a leetcode easy in python and yeah idk the syntax anymore. forgot how to code.

I miss sora. haven't used it since they required a verified phone number to make new generations

putting my high iso digital photos into lightroom to use the crazy denoising algorithm so that I can use the noise filter to add back slightly more aesthetic noise

one really nice thing about current coding models is that when I type my prompt in the wrong repo's chat, the models actually say "what the hell are you talking about?" instead of just trying to do whatever I asked and breaking everything. this was definitely not the case a little while ago

a lot of times I feel like you really don't have to understand anything to get good outputs from coding agents but I had to argue with codex for like 15 minutes because it claimed frustum culling was causing a bug when it was just not even conceptually possible for that to be true

I asked gpt-5.2 "heavy thinking" for a good joke. do you think it succeeded?

I started laundering all my AI opinions through my girlfriend and it's been very successful. if you're really annoying you should get a girlfriend

we're about to turn a corner on how high-speed networks behave. just so many agents running in so many places empowered to do so many things and write all sorts of software. zero turning back. this current bot infested internet is a tiny, quaint little shadow of the future

I had to bootstrap my empathy by believing open individualism is correct. I think this is not that different from only being moral because you fear god's wrath. only being moral because you fear that everyone's experience is also yours
