I thought for sure after we barely squeaked past the Tigers that the Mariners would be getting spanked by the Jays but they seem more on fire than they've been all year these last two games

I'll tell you I used to go to games as a kid before the pitch and changeover clocks and WOW did those changes make the game substantially better.

By proximity I mostly meant bring around more people in my personal life that care about it, not necessarily proximity to the team itself. That said, it definitely helps a lot that the nearest MLB team is no longer a 3 hour drive away!

It's probably just proximity and recency bias but it feels like this year everyone I know (myself included) got into baseball.

My mom has started texting me about the Mariners games and I went to wake up @peachypopcos.bsky.social this morning and she was watching compilations on TikTok lmao.

This was the bar we were in last night after the last run was scored, such insane energy.

Through the first 5 or so innings most people were half paying attention. By the end of the game the entire bar was silent at every pitch lmao.

One of the most insane games of baseball I’ve ever gotten to watch. A nail-biter through to the end.
