Men are socialized to hate women. They are told from a small age the worst thing they can do is “cry like a girl, or throw like a girl or act like a girl.” Then they grow up associating women & girls with shame. And that is how this misogyny breeds. It is patriarchal conditioning from the get-go.

Significant minority of my signatures collected in Lethbridge are from the surrounding communities where people seem to have few or no options to sign closer to home. Some apprehension about people hosting the petition in those communities has been expressed.
