Ooooh hoohoohoo this is good! John Fugelsang’s new book - which is a New York Times bestseller - explains why there are Christians and there are Christ followers. What exactly happened along the way to a religion that espouses the opposite of what the religion’s savior actually preached.

If anything, the survival of Indigenous peoples proves that holding on to humanity, even when surrounded by hate, is resistance.
Call out hate. Defend the vulnerable. Demand accountability. But don’t feed the fire with more violence. Let’s honor our ancestors by choosing life & shared humanity now.

Trees release compounds called phytoncides which can enhance mood & improve sleep. Phytoncides may even help prevent cancer. And native trees are brilliant for all sorts of wildlife - so let’s plant more trees, and cherish those we have already!

Most people are not familiar with what CDC actually does, but a lot of money goes out the door to support state public health labs where the bulk of infectious disease work is done. State public health labs where the rubber meets the road…this is devastating.

What Newsom is doing is important and I’m glad he’s showing what “having guts” looks like. But the Presidency is not a thank you gift. It’s a promise to meet the needs of working people and I want to know what each candidate plans to do and whether their record lends credence to their promises.
