Labour cllr for Churchfields, London Borough of Redbridge.
Woodford Town FC regular.
@londonassembly.bsky.social When will Keith Prince stand down? Havering & Redbridge voted for a Conservative AM. He isn't that. Reform got one AM from their PR list. Also not Keith.
With this defection, the Assembly no longer reflects parties' London-wide vote share. Time for a by-election.

Amazing victory for the #Lionesses; doing it the hard way. Inspiring! Football's coming home. Again.

As the Mayor to a city of more than one million Catholics, I want to express my sadness, and the sadness of all Londoners, at the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. He was a man of courage and humility who demonstrated how cooperation between faiths was a force for good.

Good thread on the legit frustration people have with local authorities trimming services while increasing council tax
Agree people don’t know what councils do etc. But I also think the public is reasonable enough to question why the local area looks dirty/declining etc while council tax bills have gone up and up and up and up and up. Politically it’s therefore currently ripe for undeliverable promises

I was a child on a demo in Hyde Park. There was a flat bed truck loaded with Vox and Marshal amps.
Three skinny guys stepped up. Played the best live music I'd ever heard.
Goodbye Rick Buckler.

If I avoid spending money on sandwiches by taking packed lunches to work, does it still count as a saving if I use it to buy a book instead?

If this isn’t Islamophobia, what is?

We heard loud and clear at our latest inquiry on gendered Islamophobia, the need for a definition.

I note that at the end of the article, it says no arrests have been made.

Tackling an issue, starts with clearly defining it.
