The #KursaalWard councillors hold two community advice surgeries each month.

❖The second Saturday of each month at Belle Vue Baptist Church, 10.00-12.00.

❖The third Thursday of each month at Southend Adult Community College, 16.30-18.30.

No appointments are required.

Printed timetables went out with the bins. It's not that an app is required, it's just that it will be a convenient way for some (probably most) people to keep up with it. Nobody is forced to use the app.

Pop down to Prittlewell Priory this half term to choose your pumpkin for Halloween and pet some farmyard friends at our own specially created pumpkin patch.

The pumpkin patch and petting farm is open between 11.00 and 16.00 on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October.

The new recycling and waste service starts from the week of Monday 27 October - next week!

And with major change coming across the city to how your waste and recycling will be collected, downloading the new Southend waste app is a great way to get ready.

🏡PLANNING DECISIONS LAST WEEK🏡

Each week I post details of any planning decisions made by the Council in the past week, within #KursaalWard. Last week there were four. Some decisions are made by officers on delegated powers, and others by the Planning Committee.
Planning application 25/00087/FULM, pertaining to Premier Inn, 64 Eastern Esplanade, granting conditional permission to erect five storey rear extension, alter rear elevation, alterations to the rear car park area and to the function of the existing on-side restaurant - from a Chef and Brewer restaurant to a non-branded hotel restaurant predominantly to serve hotel guests. Planning application 25/01052/FUL, pertaining to 25 Boscombe Road, granting conditional permission for change of use from dwelling house (Class C3) to a residential children's home (class C2). Planning application 25/01111/AMDT, pertaining to 82 Sutton Road, refusing permission to vary condition 5 (hours of operation) opening times amended from 11am to 12am Monday to Sunday to 11am to 2am Monday to Sunday (material amendment of planning permission 22/02362/FUL dated 01/02/2023). Planning application 25/01185/FUL, pertaining to 37 Ambleside Drive, refusing permission to convert existing 6 person HMO (class C4) into 7 bedroom HMO (sui generis).
