My guess is that‘s a West German dialect thing and also very antiquated, so probably nobody born after say 1940 would use it

I've always been lucky not to have these types in my classes, but I always make sure from the beginning that my students understand that studying history is about learning how to write an academic text and structuring an argument and not about memorizing and reciting facts

I know this type - though in my experience it’s usually every battle from the American Civil War, the siege of Stalingrad or the strategic decisions the Crimean War - and yes, you can get a PhD in history without memorizing these

Ich habe meinen Studys gesagt, der Sinn der Evaluationen ist, dass wir #ichbinHannas sie Bewerbungen beifügen können, jetzt hat tatsächlich ein/e Seminarteilnehmer:in geschrieben "Frau R. ist eine sehr gute Dozentin und verdient es an der Uni zu bleiben" - meine Studys sind die Besten... schnief 🥰🥲🥰

Am #14Juillet sei an Olympe de Gouges erinnert, die skandalöserweise der Meinung war, Menschenrechte sollten auch für Frauen gelten. Sie starb später wie viele Männer und Frauen in den Revolutionsjahren durch die Guillotine.

Irgendwann hat man Projektskizzen, die man so oft zwischen deutsch und englisch hin- und herübersetzt hat, dass man garnicht mehr weiß, in welcher Sprache man sie mal im original verfasst hat ... (beim Prokrastinieren vom Übersetzen eines englischen Lehrkonzepts ins Deutsche geschrieben...)

In 7th grade our music teacher had us sing the children’s choir lines from Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall and wrote the lyrics on the blackboard - the next lesson our English teacher had a meltdown because somebody had written ‘We don’t need no education … ‘ on the blackboard
