I volunteered to help paramedic students learn how to move real life people rather than dummies. I've been given the part of "old lady who's fallen over the toilet". 🙄 Not exactly the most glamorous role but I guess it helps me face my future.

I just watched a #Panorama TV programme about asylum seekers in UK, & feel sad that some choose to stay, homeless, in Manchester rather than come to stay with me an hour away in Lancaster (small town). I wonder how I could make my accommodation more appealing so they have a roof over their head ☹️

Wonder if Starmer will find room in his speech to acknowledge the objective fact a century of escalating climate impacts means global migration will massively increase. We either find a way to effectively and humanely manage that fact, rather than deny it, or things will get very dark very quickly.
