Neotist, community connector, Mayoress of St Neots and still Low Sheriff of Huntingdonshire. Black Cat Radio bod. Should be ashamed of my behaviour.

Mine was tonsillitis. Until I had them out.
They’re playing the tunes already in Argos.
You should some of the comments up here (I live near Huntingdon where the train was stopped). Utterly ridiculous.

It's not a grassroots working class movement.

"Wherever we looked for prominent flaggers and leaders of this movement, we found people smugglers and sex doll salesmen, people with dubious criminal pasts and people willing to put in a good word for Adolf Hitler."

Nigel Farage says this summer’s movement was led by ‘ordinary people’ expressing their patriotism. That’s not what we found

Started watching this late last night and finished it this morning. Reminding me how much distraction is used daily so that our attention has always been elsewhere. I knew none of this nor cared. Our press is the absolute pits.

It’s just people trying to rinse all your money on chairs, gardening equipment, burglar response (oh there’s a man in your house, I’ll trigger the smoke!), and then making you feel like a burden so hurry up and make your will (cost) and die (funeral costs). Flippin’ ‘eck!
When was the last time you had to watch TV? No pause facility, no apps? Having to watch the ad breaks? It’s been soooo long for me that I hadn’t realised quite how awful it is. The further up the channel numbers you go the older the demographic it seems. The overall message is dying and death.(cont)

So green washing liquid is heavier than yellow?
Again, much smaller scale, but experienced similar when in a meeting to address my complaint about misogyny and crappy behaviour from a fellow radio presenter, he had pre-recorded his show to go out directly after the meeting, regardless of the outcome.
One of the very few reasons St Neots gets a mention.
It’s Friday & I’m pleased to announce that for the Half Man Half Biscuit fan who thinks they have everything,a new HMHB map of the UK has arrived with over 200 locations mentioned in their inimitable lyrics. Something for the weekend? Oh, yes, I think so. xx

This whole section really.
Every year I lament the lack of something like this here where I live. Cambridgeshire is nice but boring as hell. Work on a cultural strategy got shelved by the new mayor of the combined authority which is a mistake. The new focus is heritage and tourism. Without supporting culture, that won’t work.
Culture Night is back for its 20th edition, with more than 1,700 free events taking place across the country.

Will you be out celebrating all things arts and culture tonight?

Found this that I didn’t send into Anything Goes. Lots of clown tears. But made sure to include the toilets.
@curatorkate.bsky.social might give this a go. Also, if you’re on YouTube look for Bobby Fingers. You’ll be taken on a journey that’s for sure!
Go watch this documentary. 10/10 highly recommend. Unexpected, interesting, funny, charming, full of character, and full of characters. AND it’s all on YouTube without ads cos the two gorgeous brothers who made it, made it just for the joy of it. Watch it.
“How did you cut your finger so badly Panti?!”

“Oh I was mincing (shut up!) garlic while also *totally* engrossed in this unexpectedly engrossing and really fun documentary about two adorable stoner straight guys getting involved in the surprisingly competitive world of competitive bird watching”
I’ve been working my way through The Office (us version), despite my initial reluctance but love it! Alma’s Not Normal, This Is Us (tho but emotional!), Mum, Bad Sisters.
That’s good to know, will add it to my watchlist!

Hi guys, did you already know there are competitions for window tinting? With better commentators than most of the tennis matches I’ve watched on ESPN? (Low bar I know)

Anyway if you need to procrastinate harder than you’ve ever procrastinated before, I got you
Reading isn’t a constant distraction that carries on when you need it to.
Sorry to hear you’re having to have treatment, hope it goes well.
What have you enjoyed watching?

On days like today, it’s important to remember the words of the wonderful Jonathan Miller when challenging the dog-whistling of those who wish to divide us for political or financial gain.
I’ve been advised this week that I should watch Gilmore Girls so that’s the plan, oh and ‘Over the Garden Wall’ (which I’ve seen before but will watch again)
While the original series ended in 2007, Gilmore Girls has become a staple watch in the years since it originally aired – especially as Autumn creeps in.

So, time to test your knowledge on all things Stars Hallow...
