Always so many relationships between textiles and computation. Love this article that makes a connection between two quipus that store the same data in different configurations. Also love that some of them were made with human hair yarn, like my early textile works made of handspun human hair.
I’ve seen these before absolutely incredible. I love language of past civilisation and language between non-human beings. I love thinking about perspectives difficult for current humans to get a grip on.
Ive always had a lot of social media anxiety about these short form posts. There’s a name for it even Visiobibliophobia - it can be linked to the fear of being too visible or not visible enough. Tbh I don’t know where I fit but if I don’t use an accompanying image I feel quite uncomfortable . HBU?
I’m kind of excited that this looks like old school Twitter!
