You bastards wanted me to join this site after I was fully detoxed from Twitter so now you're gonna have to suffer every deranged thought I have.

Overnight tome print came out great (maybe a bit more black on the cover than I'd prefer), but I apparently printed it the wrong size?! Yesterday-Chwineka was tired, man...

Sting: I'd day this was a bad biography of Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, but someone on IMDB already made that joke. All Australian spiders are like this, clearly.

The dice tower had a brim and that probably helped, but why did one skeleton, two bones, and one skull make it but the rest didn't? The coffin almost made it but got messed up on the side, while the coffin lid was a total goner.

I'm sticking with temperature issues since I started this at 5:30AM.

Hm. Well it's not a complete failure.

Sorry, I can't, there's this faint, high pitch whistling sound that's too distracting.

Overnight FDM print came out great! I feel tentatively good!

I have ceded the resin printer to Partnero for the time being as I research a potential replacement.
chwineka.bsky.social
As the resin printer with a new build plate once again failed and had additional issues I don't want to get into, the FDM printer has been chugging along with the lid and external fan on. Printing a bigger model overnight so we'll see how it goes, but it has a built-in brim so it should be fine.

Coasters are pretty neat, even if I had to Google "voronoi." Working on some purple ones to go with the Halloween color palette.

Taking a "break" to print some coasters with cool designs and trying with the lid on and auxiliary fan running. I suspect the core problem is a low-to-lower temperature issue so this shouuUUuuld be fine since the coasters are pretty flat and will be done in under 2 hours. We'll see.

Glue stick worked! It was a bandaid over the true problem, but I just want these done so I can give them to my coworkers and be finished with this ordeal. 2 more purple witches and I'm free.

Nope. Fuck it, we usin' a gluestick.

Husbando and Partnero both agreed the house was too cold so we turned on the heat. Love that burning dust smell, and the (admittedly apparently not reliable) internal thermostat in the printer is showing a 3 to 4 degree increase. Pretty sure it was a temperature issue, so sure! Go with it!

I'm trying a different support system before just attempting with the cover on. Good thing I bought more purple thinking the current roll was cursed, because there's a lot of trial and error going on!
chwineka.bsky.social
I would check the video I told the printer to take buuUUuut the system apparently crashed so I got nothing.
chwineka.bsky.social
While fixing the fan appeared to help, still having problems printing this model. Unlike the white, this detached from the base, so maybe I can add a brim around the supports...? It was perfect up to a point, so I guess that's useful info.

Victor Frankenstein you brilliant pervert.

Was the problem that the extruder fan wasn't plugged in correctly??
chwineka.bsky.social
"Abnormal fan error?" Well that sounds ominous.

I was gonna walk away for a while because I'm frustrated with a lot of things today. Like how it took me AN HOUR AND A HALF TO DRIVE TO WORK, EVEN AFTER LEAVING EARLY, ENDING UP 45 MINUTES LATE!!!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?!?!
A car trip summary saying it took 1 hour 37 minutes and 23 seconds to drive 14.6 miles

Cleaned the nozzle, bumped up the hotend temperature, and giving it another shot. So far it looks good, better adhesion than previously (although the last batch was securely attached to the plate, the error came later).
chwineka.bsky.social
Adhesion to the build plate was good, so the white filament started off better than the purple. That also suggests build plate temperature probably isn't the culprit. Nozzle temperature or autumnal room temperature are now the main suspects, but I can't rule out anything yet.

It turned back on! It won't print, the nozzle is gunked again.

WELL, GOOD THING I HAVE THE OFFICIAL BRAND HOTENDS ON THE WAY, BETTER FIGURE OUT WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON BEFORE I RUIN YET ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!
