Mariam, along with four other Palestinian journalists, was killed in Nasser hospital yesterday.

Devastating.

Gaza’s only remaining lifeline—humanitarian assistance—is being weaponized.

Supplies are throttled.

If not blocked outright, they are rerouted to advance military and political objectives.

Why is Israel killing so many Palestinians seeking food in Gaza?
Desperate Palestinians have faced a barrage of attacks by Israeli forces at food sites.

Delivering humanitarian aid in a conflict zone is a serious matter. It is action that takes expertise and principles to accomplish.

Following attacks on humanitarians in South Sudan, Gaza, and Sudan, including @msf.org and killings of Palestine Red Crescent Society & Relief International staff

An appalling incident. Our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of the Relief International team.

Sincere condolences from @msf.org.

Relief International were the only international humanitarian organisation still operating for the people in Zamzam camp, Sudan.
Treating millions while global aid falls apart': only possible due to the strong (and predominantly unrestricted!) support of our over 7.3 million private donors around the world.

I have no doubt that @chrislockyear.msf.org could have spoken for hours about the horrific crimes of war in Sudan. But the real question is - what will the #UNSC do? They’ve mastered the art of listening, but where is the action on Peace and Security?
The war in Sudan is a catastrophic "war on people," @doctorswithoutborders.org Secretary General Christopher Lockyear tells the UN Security Council, calling for an end to violence against civilians and a new commitment to deliver lifesaving aid: www.doctorswithoutborders.org/latest/msf-b...

Nearly two years into the war and providing healthcare and assistance is nearly impossible because of the intense fighting. #TalkAboutSudan

Just now: Our message about Sudan at the UN Security Council, from @chrislockyear.msf.org:

"While statements are being made in this chamber, civilians remain...

unseen
unprotected
bombed
besieged
raped
displaced
deprived of food
of medical care
of dignity."

Another graphic illustration of this war on civilians.

Including what it takes to have our medical teams present, and our engagement with all sides of the conflict.
#Sudan: @chrislockyear.msf.org describes "a scene of utter devastation and carnage" after yesterday's attacks in the Khartoum area.

Some hospitals just a few kilometers away remain unreachable by our teams due to difficulties crossing the front line. #TalkAboutSudan

The possible ceasefire in #Gaza must be respected and long-term, it is only the first step in addressing the overwhelming humanitarian, psychological, and medical needs in Gaza. We urge all parties to ensure humanitarian aid reaches people across the Strip now.

The conflict in Sudan is a war on people.

The aid response in Sudan is a global humanitarian failure.

This war has seen extreme violence from both sides and caused a man-made humanitarian crisis.

@msf.org Gaza report:

• Repeated attacks on civilians
• Systematic denial of humanitarian assistance
• Teams in the north of Gaza seeing clear signs of ethnic cleansing as Palestinians are forcibly displaced, trapped, and bombed.
• The health care system lies in ruins

I hope that the Government of #Sweden will reconsider its decision to stop funding of UNRWA in 2025.

This decision will make providing essential humanitarian assistance more difficult for all organisations in #Gaza, including @msf.org.
