It's some head loss by Pope, but reason he's in the squad is he's kept us in a lot of games lately with some class saves. I still love him, and his clown shoes, stupid punches & mazy saunters into midfield. Bring on the scouse mackems. HTL 🖤🤍 #NUFC

A perfect example of what Nesrine Malik called the 'cultural capitulation/cowardice' which has facilitated the rise of the far right.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

It's all gone a bit Man U at Liverpool. Guess that's what happens when you sign players as statements rather than to fit into systems. Glad we got shot of him #NUFC

Be amazing if the foreign sec treated existentially threatening foreign interference in our media/politics with same gusto she treats people fleeing war/persecution in dinghys.

writing a course about a subject that is not your specialism, and then exploring it with a class of 100 students, is hands down the best way to learn that subject in a short space of time!

Nope. It is well known that the majority of those coming are actual refugees and refugees tend not to be dissuaded from coming by harsh conditions, not least because there are no conditions harsher than what they are fleeing - they have little to lose. Often those arriving in Britain want to be

The Home Secretary says "we have become the destination of choice in Europe, clearly visible to every people smuggler and would-be illegal migrant across the world"

That is a factually untrue claim: the Home Office shows that the UK is fifth, getting 1/10 claims, while Germany gets 1/5 claims

fixture pileups shouldn’t affect #NUFC, but they impact training pitch time.

WM came in after preseason + vastly diff to Isak. Only AE had any real preseason training
EH has to dev new system but in competitive matches. We lose Tino + Hall & system has to change again. Not suprising we’ve strugged

Feels like the cracks in the UK got wedged a bit wider this week, while the people we hoped might fix them are too busy shooting their own feet off to notice. #uklabour

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

As I’ve seen this confused a few times, please note that Robin Gibb was a much-beloved member of the Bee Gees, whilst Robbie Gibb is the BBC board member who also, totally coincidentally, was editorial adviser in the set-up of GB News.

I know, Bee Gees, GBeebies, a bit confusing…

If you’re suggesting he did a poor job at Bournemouth, ya might want to revisit history.

Saved them from crashing out of the football league and took them to the premier league where they remain today despite his one relegation season. #NUFC

I’m still with the guy who won us a cup, steered us through best part of 2 yrs without a functioning board, & through a disastrous window with a couple of good signings. If EH isn‘t getting a tune after 1-2 years of stability, exec support & consistent strategy, then I might change my mind. #NUFC

Once again Sandro and Thiaw the only players making us look even vaguely like a mid table team. #NUFC

There are few days so bad that being in a class with my students doesn't make it better. An amazing, creative bunch of people. I'm discovering that the biggest challenge of teaching isn't giving them skills, it's giving them confidence to see and use their own, vast talents #academicsky #teaching

Who cares if it was a bit messy. We soaked up their press, knackered them out, BDB scored header of the season, and 6th in the UCL. EDDIE HOWE’s 🖤🤍 ARMY #NUFC

Burn‘s been a titan for us lately, playing out of position & probs more games than anyone else. There’s a thousand things wrong with the team ‘ attitude today, but BDB is the least of it #NUFC
