Harrison Bader is an Art Guy.

He's painted since he was kid, studied art history in HS, and goes to galleries in his free time.

He paints "a lot" of portraits during the offseason (and used to during the season, too).

The Phillies’ Harrison Bader has been painting since he was a kid. And it’s helped shape his game.
Bader took an interest in art history in high school and still paints. It’s helped him get through the highs and lows of his major league career, while keeping him in “the present moment.”

This book’s been doing everything you want an ongoing series to do as it hits the one-year mark: picking up steam, developing an exciting new world of martial-arts action and lore for the title character, and finding a confident groove. If you’ve slept on it, check it out.
Batgirl #12 is out today. A whole year in the books. I can’t believe it.

Pick it up wherever comics are sold!

I am hearing of some significant layoffs at ComicBook.com in its editorial department, including of some tenured (and talented people) there.

This comes exactly 12 months after it was sold by Paramount Global to Savage Ventures (Vice).

The big news of SDCC 2025 for comics at least is this.

Thank you, Jackie Estrada. You gave much more than you received, and you are leaving comics in a much better place than when you started.
Longtime Eisner Awards boss Jackie Estrada has given out her last award, ending a 35-year run with San Diego Comic-Con.
