More people need to be called out for this. I make my own diagrams and charts, if I have art I either get permission, use cc or commission.
I just ultimately find it cringe and all the flaws in it detract from the talk.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Truly wish vscode had a better way for cleaning up context and interface icons. I’ve managed to fill every area of my IDE with Java and NX extensions and am now scrubbing the extensions so I have something usable

Putting this back out there. His passport expires in six months, While he’s in Berlin, Brussels is the only embassy in Europe which issues passports and so needs funds to cover the travel+fees.

I wanted to be a 3d animator and all the success stories involved sleeping on sofas for 5 years and getting screwed out of paychecks. I happened to be taking a couple tech classes when I made this discovery and Linux is fun.

Folks gotta read the bobverse as it’s depressingly accurate. The moment humanity discovers another species they rush to colonize fringe planets so they don’t get it.

This came up a bit at @eurosky.social and is the only reasonable way to talk about how centralized any decentralized system is. Without appropriate funding nobody can moderate at the scale PBC does without heavily relying on AI and we see how that’s going for us.
Let me put it this way: the bluesky PBC moderation team has as much power as 1,361 moderation teams on the fediverse, combined. (How many fedi instances have to block an account to block it from the fraction of the network bsky controls) That's a whole lot of power in a very small number of hands.
