an excerpt reading the following: "You good?" Yuuji asks, the words coming out of his mouth with that even, casual tone he's perfected before he registers the cruelty of his words.

Through grit teeth, Fushiguro answers. "No. I'd like to hit something until my knuckles bleed."

Yuuji swallows. Fushiguro doesn't follow the action; that piercing green gaze is staring into Yuuji's, pleading. There's no wetness welling up anymore, and Yuuji is grateful for that.

"Let's go," Yuuji agrees, finally recognizing what Fushiguro is obviously trying to tell him. Yuuji wonders the parameters of the curse — it seems to be more than a vow preventing lies.
