At the time I was also really inspired by David Wojnarowicz, an artist active during the AIDS epidemic who ultimately succumbed to the disease. He was failed by the system and he spent his final years screaming at the top of his lungs to anyone that would hear.

I painted this back in 2018 at a time that I and many of my closest friends were struggling emotionally.

I've always had this deep, all consuming fear of my loved ones dying and I wanted to visualize what that fear felt like
