Making coffee a hyperfocus this season.
I hated it until I was 34.
But I found my gateway coffee.
It is now time to fully immerse myself in learning how to make espresso, do latte art, and buy good quality beans...
Because buying the little Korean coffee stick tubes is getting pricey...

Do I bike up and back from Ikea (a 2 hour ride) for lights & shelves
Or go to the museum district for No Kings and get super overstimulated?
Both are good.

How do both of my wrists burn from doing the tiny thermal stitches? I'm going amigurumi tight, but why both?

This is still why I haven't made an amigurumi yet. But I will get this bag shoulder pad done.

Going to crochet a shoulder pad for Wren's bike bag. I picked up 100% cotton so it wouldn't stretch and was going to do an amigurumi stitch or moss stitch. Which one is longer wearing?

He's at the point of admitting I was right to leave when I did.

Vesuvius is pretty.
I missed mountains so much.
Italian is much easier for me to understand because I've spent more time on Romance rather than Germanic...
But dang it give me back my well defined crosswalks and immaculate roads in Amsterdam.
Crap.
They've convinced me to love Amsterdam.

Went to the thrift shop where they had a wall of plant pots and walked away with a rainbow worth of pots to grow my habanero, jalapeno, cilantro, and tomatillo in.
I ended up buying a bonsai orange tree too...

Genuine kind people exist in spades in the US.

Quit calling it "fake nice" - you've got vocabulary, you invented it.

Etiquette is a thing, but what you keep encountering is Passive Aggression. And that specifically is a defense mechanism from living in a 3rd world country thinking it's a 1st.

Honey, those folk are salt poor, gonna give you the best cheese casserole you've ever encountered, pull out Pops clothes from 30 years ago that just about fit you, and figure out a spare bed in 30 minutes. Back off.

There's a farmer's market on Fridays within biking distance of me I was unaware of.
There was a massive vendor booth for mushrooms...
And he had Lion's Mane.
I've never seen it for sale before when I was in the states.
It worked up great as a lion's mane scampi. 10/10 would recommend.
