Too many of these are reliant on prep to be playable; you only have two preps in a deck, so you can't run more than 4–6 total "goes with prep" cards. But I think after Dubious Purchase rotates these look more attractive as pairings.

It makes me think of like, MMORPG starter zones that are explicitly the *inverse* of this setup. "Holy shit, it's Glub, the Bane of Shittosville!" *one shots in a three minute fight, collects blue sword*

I would argue that what happened is YA. Downshifting the target audience a bit massively expanded the market while maintaining the rest of your stated parameters, the only downside being that the core themes and ideas are constrained to coming of age stories.

Yeah, this was in Dallas in the late 90s, but we had 4 armed men come in with real unloaded guns, and take a few of us aside. Said they were here to kill believers, and asked if we were believers. After we all said "Yes", they unmasked themselves as dads from church.
