Spotted a White Faced Heron today! #birds #ausbirds #whitefacedheron #heron
A white faced heron, a large waterbird, is making a small leap from one shallow patch of water, to another. Its wings are spread outwards, and its yellow legs stretched behind it. Behind it is brown water, reflecting a blue sky, and a mixture of green and brown grass is growing in the water beneath it.

I was trying to read a sign, when this Willie Wagtail decided it was far more interesting, and landed on top of it! I couldn't believe how close I was to it, and it sat there so patiently while I snapped pics! #birds #ausbirds #wagtail

Definitely got a kick out of watching some Silver Gulls chase each other for a slice of fruit toast, but I think this shot of the gull showing off its telekinesis powers is my favourite! #birds #ausbirds #seagull #silvergull

Urban peregrine falcon on the turn chasing something and still has time to give us the 'evil glare'. This bird has really prominent and dark bulging eyes and always looks angry anytime it looks at you.
