They will release the album when they are ready, not when we are. They’ll go on tour when they’re ready, not when we are. They live their lives and have their careers on their terms, not ours. They make choices as artists on what to release and we make choices as fans in if we’ll listen.

this is me with Linkin Park. and when the time came that their musical direction diverged from my preferences, i bowed out of their new releases and stayed in the past. it doesn't have to be this acrimonious thing
And people whose priorities and approaches to public life will change. These fans want their artists to stay the static image that they were at whatever time the fan was happiest, not when the artist was. They see an artist’s responsibility as delivering what they as a fan want
