Izu doesn't do anything special with his tail, by typical Miqo'te standards anyway. He washes it, he brushes it, he trims the stray extra long strand of fur, and that's it. He doesn't mind people touching his tail so long as they ask first, but the base is off limits except for a few people

Beyond being expected to leave the village once he came of age BC his mother subscribed to the traditional Keeper way of life, Izu didn't have any other expectations directly placed on him. Staying until he was 20 so he could care for his sister caused some friction between him and his mother though
