the only area i know of where hdr seems to be the norm is portable devices, specifically most flagship phones (because many engineers seem to see them as compact digital cameras with calling functions attached, and that's awesome) and the recent nintendo switch 2.
it amazes me that hdr is still considered a "nice to have" thing for hardware and supporting software, rather than becoming an expectation and eventual standard. what do you mean this has been in hdmi and games consoles since 2015, and barely any games released today properly support it???

you guys have no idea how annoying diana is as a youtuber. what if a woman talked over the game at the exact same volume your voice should be at, and the only way to disable her was to turn off all talking altogether.

They also did the dumb international pricing thing where a $70 USD game costs €70 ($82) and £70 ($95).
Bizzarely, it looks like the iOS version of Hitman is another bad mobile port, but in a completely different way than the Switch 2 version.
I think they built their pricing around the idea of buying single levels for $3 USD each, which means they're asking for $70 for a game on a cell phone.

Has any game ever tried to increase the viability of smoke grenades by removing hitmarker feedback for shooting people inside their radius? Outside of reviving people in Battlefields V and 6, I've very rarely smoked in games because I'm still easily tracked, especially by automatic weapons.
