The irony is that the photographer was trying to make him look heroic with that low-angle shot against a blue sky with a halo-like cloud. Well, you can put lipstick on a pig, as the wise saying goes, but it doesn't work and it annoys the pig. How true.

But Time Magazine wrote a puff piece praising him to the skies and calling this the greatest achievement of his Presidency. And how did he thank them? By whining on X that the cover photograph was unflattering. It was taken from a low angle against the sky to make him look heroic, but failed.
