Other automakers don't want Tesla's garbage "FSD;" no one serious about AI wants xAI's garbage Grok; & no one serious about robots wants dopey Optimus.

Meanwhile, SpaceX's "Starship propellant transfer" program - vital to Artemis III - looks more & more like fantasy.

One of the coolest things about #TeslaTakedown is that it's not just about "sending a message." It's about attaching a stigma to driving a certain make of car, which is the one source of profit for a financial bubble that props up the most powerful racist alive.

It's protest as direct action.

I feel the same way about people who pretend the driver assistance systems they sell are "autonomous," effectively luring people into overtrusting half-baked technology and then sticking them with the consequences when it crashes
kind of annoys me when people use the aesthetics of graffiti to show they're edgy and cool while also calling for more punitive laws, which punish the graffiti artists who give that aesthetic its cultural meaning

imagine inheriting wealth from the last gilded age of oligarchy and cutting Trump $130 million walking around money checks instead of funding libraries and universities like your ancestors had the shame to
If I’m recalling correctly, Timothy Mellon was the only MAGA donor who surpassed Elon Musk in 2024. He dropped $50m on a pro-Trump super PAC the day after Trump was convicted of dozens of felonies last year. God only knows what that has bought him.

Tesla did not crash 3 times in one day. This confusion is due to NHTSA's SGO database being in Excel, where "July 2025" is encoded as "July 1, 2025." If you look through SGO ADS, every crash "occurs" on the first of the month.

turns out Tesla's Austin "robotaxis" have crashed three times already, apparently within the first ~7,000 miles of operation!

two appear to be the Tesla getting hit, but one was clearly the Tesla hitting a stationary object, resulting in minor injuries

not great!!

One of the crashes was with a static object with minor injuries and the Tesla towed away. And a 4th crash was not reported. This does not look good.
