I play through some of my favorite games in December for the cozy vibes but also because it’s my birthday month. All year I look forward to it and then as soon as I start I just stare longingly at my backlog. Never happy, this guy.

This week I beat The Adventures of Bayou Billy for NES. Original hardware, no hacks or anything. This game is brutally difficult owing in part to very simple controls and an entire enemy roster of tanks that have quick counter attacks. Too bad because I think it’s a unique concept.

I don’t want to show the final screen for spoilers; but I finished Majora’s Mask this weekend for the first time! It wasn’t the profound experience others have had but still it’s a very cool and smart game. Still gorgeous to look at and a very interesting gameplay loop (literally). Recommended!

Great progress was made today! I feel confident that I’ll be able to finish next week. I talked about this in stream (hopefully while my mic wasn’t muted 🙄) but I’m going to transition to solely retro on twitch and leave newer stuff for YouTube. That means BotW will be dropped for a while (cont.)
