INGRID'S FATHER: Can't have you sleeping in. Today's a big day for you. Don't you remember? Ingrid remembers: Kneeling down next to her father's body and gazing upwards at a crescent moon. INGRID'S FATHER (VO): The night of the crescent moon. You were all alone... and hurting... Even though she's crying, a fire lights in Ingrid's eyes. INGRID'S FATHER (VO): And you made a promise. Back to her dad. He clenches a fist. INGRID'S FATHER: All these years later, you've stuck to it. The end's in sight. You just need one last push. Ingrid's eyes are darkened. She frowns. When she speaks, her usual resolve isn't there. INGRID: But... INGRID: I can't, dad. I want to, but I can't. I felt the last of my reserve go when I threw that punch. I don't have anything left to heal with. She wrings her hands. INGRID: I guess in the end, the Bloodbath is what kills me after all. No surprise. It already took everything else from me. Ingrid's father is silent for a moment, then reaches over and pats her shoulder. INGRID'S FATHER: Yeah, not gonna lie. That was reckless. And you always used to be so careful with it. Who you been hangin' out with? INGRID'S FATHER: But it paid off. Cuz it brought you into contact with Nowhere. And me. The viewpoint shifts to a panorama of Nowhere's field of eyeballs, with the tower in the center. It's broken on one side from Ingrid's punch, and a mass of brain tissue is poking out. INGRID'S FATHER (VO): Focus. On the tremors of its muscle. The electrical pulses of its brain tower. The rivers of blood in its veins. And, rumbling like a great storm, a pulse. Back to Ingrid. Her eyes are closed. The flesh and eyeballs of Nowhere have begun to encroach on the bedroom. INGRID'S FATHER (VO): This place is alive. Close up on Ingrid's eyes. INGRID'S FATHER (VO): The Bloodbath's done awful things to you. Too many. But you know what that means. When Ingrid opens one eye, she's an adult again. The resolve is back in her voice. INGRID: Give back a thousand times what I got.

From the stump of her right arm, Ingrid forces out a mass of liquid flesh that quickly solidifies into a huge, muscular arm. INGRID: I don't care what it costs... As she plummets downward, she throws a punch. The fist she's created is larger than most of the Orchestrator's body. INGRID: I'll END you. The force of the punch rips through the Orchestrator and into the ground beyond her. The shockwaves travel deep into the stone, splitting off a huge chunk of the platform. SFX: fucking BOOOOOM The amount of energy required to throw such a huge punch has eaten the rest of Ingrid's limbs. The remains of her body plummet from the top of the crumbling tower to the bottom of Nowhere, where she lands with a thud. Meanwhile, Ren-Anji and Rudeboy stare each other down in the sewers above Nowhere. RUDEBOY: You wanna fight me...? Why? REN-ANJI: I've been thinking. The memory of Bastardsword looms over Ren-Anji as he speaks. REN-ANJI: Hendrick Bastardsword has done irreparable damage to your family. He separated you from your sister. Indirectly, he is responsible for your current state. I am the last remaining thread of his legacy. Rudeboy remains silent, just watching. REN-ANJI: Isabel and Mallory have already dealt with him. But you also deserve someone to hold accountable. He raises his right hand and places it on the hilt of Rotten Blossom. REN-ANJI: Now draw. Face me. Rudeboy thinks about this for a second. RUDEBOY: That doesn't make sense. This catches Ren-Anji off guard. REN-ANJI: What...? RUDEBOY: All I've been trying to do is re-unite my family. Why would I wanna fight you? How does that fix anything? Unlike Ren-Anji, Rudeboy does not adopt a fighting stance. Ren-Anji's own stance relaxes a bit. RUDEBOY: What's it prove?
